Celebrating the 4th of July in Bay City! It has been seven years since the big night of fireworks has fallen on Independence Day in Bay City and rumor has it that this year, Bay City is set to have one of the best fireworks shows in Michigan. I read that 25 percent more shells will be shot on Saturday compaired to last year's big night. The fireworks dislplay is scheduled to last about 40 minutes. About 100,000 people are expected to be in town for Saturday night alone for the big display. Visitors can expect carnival rides, a craft show , helicopter rides, great music , food, fun, and more. Plus a fantastic fire works display each night beginning Thursday July 2nd. The festival will once again feature free entertainment for children called The Kid's Korner. This year boasting a dunk-tank, an obstacle course, and a train which are just a few of the things children can expect in Wenonah Park. The best part is, it is all free-of-charge! Open from noon to 6 p.m on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Does the carnival sound like fun? Starting Wednesday July 1st, in Veterans Memorial Park, will be the carnival midway. The festival schedule states that Wednesday you can get an unlimited-ride wristband for $20 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The posted daily admission costs, $1 for Veterans Memorial Park and $5 for Wenonah Park. The schedule also states $20 unlimited-ride wristbands also are available from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 2 and 3rd. This is definitely a weekend you will never forget!
